Day 1

Our next stop was the old train watertower at the outback town of Merredin.

Our next rest stop was the old mining town of Coolgardie, where the little nevilles had a ripper time stretching the legs climbing over the old mining machinery at the

Ben Priors Park.

The next stop was the outback town of Norseman where the kiddies found the old carragated Cameals.

Jacko jumped up on Norseman the horse but the others were a bit taken back by the bloody heat as it was 37 in the shade, and the metal horse was hotter then that... trust me after the photo Jacko jumped off that horse pretty bloody quick ha,ha.

And after a long drive we finally made it to our favourite sign, the green Norseman roadsign which tell's you that your about to drive across the world famous 'Nullabour track'. And the end of our first day's driving which believe me couldn't come quicker.... Bloody little buggers... As the saying goes 'If you can't beat 'em... what's the point in having kids' ha,ha .... God love 'em!

So after knocking off our first 1000kms of a 4000km (one way) trip we made it to our first campsite..

Balladonia roadhouse where we were about to have a nice cold swim followed by a warm shower, and then a dinner of beaut roadhouse grub... Works Hamburger with chips that I was just waiting to curl my tongue around... food of the kings.

But first we had to put up a friggin' tent!!! There's always a bloody catch.

Balladonia roadhouse

Well it's our first day and we were up at sparrows fart to get an early start on our first leg of our trip to the East coast, with the Cattletruck chock-a-block full of Nevilles and stuff we were ready for our massive drive across the outback and back. Here we have our first stop and our very first photo on the trip in frount of the world Famous Ettamogah Pub in Cunderdin.
