No3 Guildford Hotel
Well it's that time of day 'Friday' and with a barmy 37 degree day behind us, it's time to have a wee little drink to wash down all the bloody brickyard dust. So me and "little Chief"' had a wonder around this ripper old pub filled with old charm and historical touches, it's not the same as what she was in the old days but I think they have done a pretty good job.
Unless you live on another planet then you'd know that this beaut old girl burnt down years back, but with a fair bit of hard work and some imagination they have done a beaut job bringing her back to life. They kept many of it's old features and created a new vibe experience in the venue, so grab a Lager and a seat in the beer garden and enjoy the sun.
The Hotel offers a casual menu mixing pub lunches with a modern touch, but once you cop a smell of the smoked grilling meats coming straight from the house smoker.... You'll be stuffed!
I remember sitting there with my brother Mark sinking a nice quiet lager, while we were waiting for the misses to pick us up and all we could do is smell that smoking beef sizzling smell... 'Just like an angels breath'. But knowing the misses was cooking dinner back at home we just sat back and suffered, yes we were good boys but it was hard.
