A bushwalk along the tracks

This would be our last bushwalk for the year and this one was going to be a bloody ripper, it's a five kilometer walk along an old train-line that goes through a mountain. In fact at one time this was the only train tunnel in Western Australia, and as soon as you head into the tunnel the temperature comes down massively.

And just don't you love that old time brick work at the top of the tunnel, we just can't start to believe how those convicts and laborers worked in so harsh conditions in those early years. And it's a long tunnel which gets nice and dark at the middle, and the best bit is after you get to the end of our walk we get to go back along the track through the tunnel again.

Almost at the end of our bushwalk and we come to the National Park Falls, fairdinkum they must of sat up all night to come up with that name. And as you can see at this time of year there's not much of a stream to mention off, but during the winter months it's not a bad little waterfall. And that was about it so after a nice couple of sandwiches, washed down with some almost cold water it was time to walk back through the tunnel and back to the car.
