Well today is the last time you'll see a true legend racehorse run, I just can't believe how this horse turns into the straight and just switches to drive... What a champion... Today I'll buy a ticket to see if I can win five cents from my dollar ha,ha, but the ticket will go straight to the 'shed' as a keepsake, that I was lucky to watch such a ripper horse....

After this final race Winx will be retired, but she certainly won’t be forgotten for a long time yet… if ever. The superstar mare, trained by Chris Waller and ridden for the majority of her career by Huge Bowman, will be remembered for her incredible four-year run of 33 consecutive race wins, which included 25 Group 1 wins. Both – most consecutive wins and most Group 1 wins - are an Australasian record.

After being ranked variously as the word’s best filly and the world’s best horse of turf, what was already known by many was confirmed officially in 2018: Winx was ranked the world’s outright best racehorse in the World’s Best Racehorse Rankings. All this from a horse that was foaled in Jerrys Plains, New South wales, you just wouldn't think it would end up winning over twenty six million.

Winx’s 25 Group 1 wins consist of four Cox Plates (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), four Chipping Norton Stakes (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), four George Ryder Stakes (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), three Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2017, 2018, 2019), three George Main Stakes (2016, 2017, 2018) and two Turnbull Stakes (2017, 2018), plus a Doncaster Mile (2016), Caulfield Stakes (2016), Epsom Handicap (2015), Winx Stakes (2018) and Queensland Oaks (2015).

The great mare holds an undisputable place among the very best horses to ever grace the racetrack in Australia. Many have argued she is, in fact, the best ever… while that argument will go on forever, what cannot be doubted is the sheer weight of Winx’s amazing achievements.
