Starting the Patio brickwork

first we have to leave the ground and start with concrete foundations.

After getting the footings down we get it ready for laying the concrete, I love this part of the job... getting messy.

First one down and onto the rest of them...

Getting into the last footings where the BBQ will go and the Official beer Garden, which has to be open to the ground so water can sink down.

And now for the brickwork which is a lot of fun, getting it leave and using the old bricks at the front.

Three layers in and having heaps of fun but it has taken longer then I thought, as it takes me into the second day to have it finished.

Into the night and I finally have it finished, it was heaps of fun to design it with Bazza and now I have to pop to Bunnings and get the wood for the seat tomorrow.

Oscar was my best worker in the family making heaps of cement for me, and he even laid a fair few bricks too.

That night we got the ideas all ready using the old school way... 'measure twice cut once', and hope your eye sight is spot on.

And after a fair few cuts and measures I had the seat done and dusted. So after an afternoon of beers and ideas going through the old scone, I came up with an idea of the paving which was going to be the next job.
