Another mini pub crawl into Perth town thanks to our free NEW train, which takes us into the city heart without any problems. And our first Pub for today is the Queens Tavern in Highgate which sits on Beaufort Street,

Just so beautiful

Our next drinking hole was the Irish pub Mollys where the young fella tried something new.

He had his first ever Kilkenny Beer which he was surprised that we had to get a seat, while the barmaid said she'd bring them over to us.

Inside Mollys Irish Pub

After a short wall along Beaufort Street, we came apon our new drinking entablement the old Brisbane Hotel, and over the years there done a nice job on this old sheila.

Standing proud in Perth since 1898, The Brissy is a historic corner pub with a ripper beer garden, in recent years, the pub has been given a fresh new look inside and out especially in the beer garden.

In the corner pub’s long history, a tragic event unfolded in 1928 when a police officer, Sergeant Alexander Marks, was fatally shot in its public bar after a struggle with Edward “Ned” Kelly. 'In the struggle, the gun went off again and the bullet entered the sergeant’s body. Gamely, he hung on till Kelly was disarmed and then was hurried to the Perth Hospital. With the death of the sergeant, Mr Kelly was charge with wilful murder and was remanded to Fremantle gaol.

But times have changed and so has the pub and it's all for the better, can you ask for a better way to enjoy your Sunday Sesson...
A nice Pub with a good mate, enjoying a cold beer, cricket on the big screen and a couple of games on a free pool table.

After a nice rest and some chips in the beer gut, we made our way to the Palace Arcade for something a bit different.

Inside there's the normal bar stuff with a few different arcade machines around, but if you go for a walk downstairs you find a place full of machines.

The young fella on a Star Wars pinball machine.

Imagine being able to play your very first pinball machine, and not just any old machine, but one of the cherished of machines... The ACDC machine. All my life I never seen one at a milk bar or corner shop, but here in the middle of nowhere and presto! It's like being in heaven, but I wasn't alone as Oscar loved hitting each machine and even had a go on an old Pac-man one.

Then a nice back street walk to we reached our last pub for the night the beaut Northbridge brewing company, the last time I was here they wouldn't let me in because I had my steel caps on, the cheeky buggers.

But the reason I was there was the same reason I am here now, and that is to get my hands on a ridgy-didge Northbridge Canimal, a 946ml beer can filled with tap-fresh beer before being machine-sealed. All of NBC’s core five beers – lager was recently introduced to the range of kölsch, IPA, pale ale, and wheat lager.

And me being a lager boy that was the one that I went for, and for many years to come it will take pride and place inside the corporate box at home.

I tell you what after having a fair few pints at some bloody good pubs, it takes a fair bit to sink 946mls of lager... I must be getting old.
But it is yet another great pub to have a beer at, and as the night gets on, I reckon there would be a fair few people coming in here.

And that was our last beer for the night, a good night drinking and finished off with some take-away Chinese and a nice dash for a train back home.
Lives pretty good.
