A little Perth Pub crawl
Well my cousin Mick needed some stuff from his lock-up storage, so me Jacko, Bazza and Eric popped into Perth to look for his cricket stuff.
So after working up a sweat we decided to quench our thirst with a ripper cold beer at the Queens hotel, yes it was ten in the morning but after having a gander in google we found our first pub that opens at that time.
Doesn't that first cold beer on a hot muggy morning just look so delicious to the eye.
Then it was just a quick drive down the road to the old Paddo hotel, which is another of Perth's great watering holes. and sitting on the bar was that beautiful cold beer just waiting for yours truly to wrap his laughing gear around.
Then off down to the Leederville Hotel for another of those mouth watering cold beers, and in this photo we had Eddy in the background.
The pub is still stuck in the old age which is pretty refreshing with all the renoed pubs that are around, but I usually like the reno's that the pubs do because it usually brings the beer garden into the pub. Which is a bloody great idea and I'm sure in time the old Leedo will go down that path.
The pool table area is right up to scratch so really it's just the front bar area that needs a touch up.
A nice little drive to the end of Oxford street and we came to the 'OX' and time for another cold Lashes beer, Jacko was doing a beaut job as designated driver sinking another coke with ice.
The bar area looks pretty cool and updated and the footy was on the telly so could you ask for more.... well okay a beer would be nice too.
Even Bazza came out for this last pub on our little pub crawl, and he was really enjoying the time out of the shed. This is the old Rosemont Hotel or the 'Rosie' to the locals and the front bar does look really beaut hay, but fairdinkum you'd be doing it hard to fit maybe twenty drinkers in there. At the back part there was a band doing a warm up with there music going off, crikey it bloody destroyed your friggin' ears.
So we moved out to the beer garden area which is my favourite hotel area, you have fresh air and in this case a lot more bloody room. I'll tell you what this was a bloody ripper way to send a long weekend.
