Drive to Moora
Well I wanted to give our new car a good spin, so I thought why not go up and see where me old mate Jacky Rissole use to live.
And this is the Post office that Jacky use to work, not much to look at hay but it's probably the best looking shop in Moora ha,ha.
And across the road was the legendary 'Drovers Inn', which doesn't look like a bad Pub.
After a short walk around the town center we found a little ripper park, Centenary Park which is dedicated as a memorial Park for the soldiers who served in the wars. Here are the kiddies on a 75mm Gun made in Germany for the Turkish army, it was captured in the Palestinian city of Jenin by the 10th Australian Light Horse in 1918.
Also in the Park the kiddies liked this sculptor of a soldier, which looks pretty cool.
And then on the way back to the car we noticed this ripper old diesel locomotive F class number 41.
It's a ripper old engine and the kiddies loved crawling all over her, come to think of it the train was the high light of the whole township... not saying much about the town, but really it's just a quiet little town nestled next to the North Moora river. It's situated in Wheatbelt Region of WA, It's surrounded by impressive Salmon Gums which gives you heaps of shade during the long hot summers out here in the bush.
